The modular stair solution for ambulatory clients

We crafted our Walker Stair Kit for anyone who uses a walker or cane to get into their home easier. The TreadCraft™ Walker Stair Kit’s oversized, adjustable steps eliminate the awkward struggle of climbing narrow stair treads. It’s also a safe, quick-install alternative to a huge ramp. Now, they can firmly place all four feet of their walker on each oversized platform stair tread as they enter or leave the home.

Fits over existing stairs

Continuous handrails

Adjustable stair rises

Integrated curbs

Oversized, adjustable steps eliminate the dangerous awkward struggle of climbing narrow stair treads

Third of the space, third of the cost

Leaves room for a car depending on the size of the garage. At about 1/3rd the Price!

Better for those who use a walker:

No need to remove existing stairs

The kits can straddle what’s there or stand right on the steps.

Free-standing

When no longer needed, simply disassemble and remove. If necessary, the kit can also be pinned to the floor for added rigidity.

Popular 2-Step kit

It can adjust to create three low 3” tall rises to a 9” door threshold, or up to 21” with three 7“ rises. It’s infinitely adjustable to fit the home. Also available as a single-step kit, or you can add more steps.

Integrated handrails and curbs

This helps them stay steady even without a walker. The curbs also keep a cane from slipping off the side.

Accommodates existing conditions

Our patented adjustable stair rises, feet, and handrails can accommodate uneven floors & existing stairs.

Better for contractors:

Make more sales

Until now, Physical Therapists and Discharge Managers could only recommend a wheelchair ramp for a walker-user leaving the hospital. To be ADA compliant you had to quote a very large temporary ramp. But if the patient can use a walker, you can now offer clients a much lower rental or purchase price with a TreadCraft ™ Walker Stair Kit and win more business.

Why do Carpentry when you can get a kit?

What do you estimate is your cost to purchase framing lumber, decking, stair rails and fasteners? Then send 2 carpenters to the job to tear out the existing stairs? Then stick-build a wood staircase? Add your labor burden, overhead and travel. This is a better way to do it.

Easy to take to the job

Each kit can easily fit into an installer’s minivan. Easy set-up for one person with little more than DIY-level skills.
